At the camping center, you’ll find everything you need—from short overnight stops to longer stays.

Reception and security

The reception is open daily, 24 hours a day. During night time hours from 10 PM to 7 AM, a night guard is on duty and can be contacted if needed.

Ounaskoski Camping kiosk and café

The campsite’s own café and kiosk are open every day. At the kiosk, you can pre-order fresh rolls and croissants for the next morning. We offer refreshments, ice cream, sweets, chips, souvenirs, reindeer hides, postcards, and stamps. The café serves both sweet and savory treats, along with a wide selection of beverages. Come and enjoy some ice cream scoops under the summer sun with a beautiful river view.

  • Coffee, drinks, and light snacks, as well as groceries such as fresh bread, milk, and cheese
  • Sun terrace with licensed bar (alcohol served)

Service points for travelers and vehicles

Our area offers comprehensive services to meet the needs of travelers. We have two grey water and chemical toilet disposal points, marked on the site map as numbers 9 and 8. There are several water points throughout the area, also marked on the site map. A hose-equipped water filling station is located between the reception building and the upper service building, next to site number 85.

Private shower facilities and quiet restrooms can be found in both service buildings on the campsite. The sauna is heated daily (June–August), and public sauna sessions are included in the basic fee. Private sauna sessions can be booked at the reception for €15/hour.

Our area has two separate service buildings equipped with private shower and restroom facilities.

Waste Management and Wastewater Disposal

You will find two chemical toilet disposal points and one grey water drain on our campsite. The chemical toilet disposal point is marked as number 8 on the site map, and the grey water drain as number 9. In addition, our area has two comprehensive recycling stations.

Summer kitchen

The campsite features a spacious summer kitchen shelter equipped with ovens, stoves, a microwave, and a shared refrigerator. Dishwashing facilities are also available.

Heated dishwashing area

The upper service building features spacious heated dishwashing areas.

Laundry service

In the upper service building, you’ll find one washing machine and one dryer. In the lower service building, there are two of each. You can book and pay for your laundry time at the reception (washing €8 and dryer €7). Please follow the instructions when using the machines. When using the machines in the lower service building, remember to press the SPEED-PERFECT button to ensure a fast and efficient wash.

Beach

The camping center is located right next to the Ounaskoski swimming beach. Additionally, it is possible to let dogs swim directly from the camping area at your own risk. Please be aware of the strong currents!

Fresh rolls and croissants for the morning — pre-order required

From the kiosk and café, you can pre-order fresh rolls (light or darker variety) and croissants in advance. They will be available for you the next morning from 7 a.m. onwards.

Fishing permits

At our reception, you can purchase for example a one-day fishing permit for the area between Jätkänkynttilä and the railway bridge (€5).

Wireless Wi-fi

Our camping center offers WLAN access for all our guests.

Restaurant Valdemari

Restaurant Valdemari is located right next to our camping center, and we highly recommend enjoying their offerings throughout the summer, accompanied by a variety of live performers!
